Charnwood Road Baptist Church

CRBC Sunday Devotions

Dear members and friends of Charnwood Road Baptist Church,
We hope to publish some guidelines and useful information at least weekly for the foreseeable future: please let us know if you can help with the production / distribution of these. If you can access online resources / email this helps us greatly. Please stay up to date with, and adhere to, all current government health advice / regulations.
Below are some suggested worship resources that we hope you will find helpful, inspiring and encouraging through the uncertainties of coming weeks and months. We have no idea when church can reopen in the normal way, and so please take every opportunity to increase your devotional life during these challenging days.
Please let us know which resources etc you find most helpful, and please recommend other favourites too. And since we cannot share fellowship in the normal way, please remember to pray for each other, and to follow up those prayers with a phone call to one or two church  members. We have a great God and we are called to support each other as we keep faith in Him and stand on His promises.
Psalm 46 v1: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Rev Nigel Riley Sunday 31 May 2020

The English language transcript for the prayer that you will hear in the service is....
Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord. We worship and praise you. We pray that your Holy Spirit comes now with us while we are praying. Lord, let us truly feel you and we pray that you would listen to the voice of our cry. Lord, we see that there are many people are in sorrow, sadness, despair and even parted from life to death in such a world that is full of virus. Lord, we pray that you will be with these people and we want to put this COVID-19 situation into your hands. Heavenly Father, I want to pray for the UK this nation that you love and bless as well as the county Leicestershire… We pray that you will work and let more and more people know your love and realise that it is the time to seek for the true truth that is YOU Lord. It is time to seek for the help from you my Lord. It is time to go back home, the home of yours. Lord, we pray for the churches in Leicestershire and this country. We know that, a lot of churches are temporarily doing online sermon for Christians and it is not easy working. We seek for your great help for those people who are working on network, social media etc for the church. Lord, bless them! And please give them wisdom to improve the hard work even better! Lord, we pray that you will work to help the country to get recovered soon and let people back to your warm love and hug…! In Jesus’s Strong name we pray, Amen!
