Women Together 2016

A small group of 8 went to the Pantomime at Loughborough Town Hall in January and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Busy Creating February saw us trying out something new on our Craft evening. Ann Renwick lead the group as we tried our hands at Scrapbooking. There were lots of photos arranged with plenty of glue and sparkles in a very creative evening.

In March we had a very relaxing evening at the home of Sylvia Needham as we watched a very interesting film 'The Way' starring Martin Sheen about the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The evening finished with tea and cake and a lively discussion about the film.

Alison the demonstratorAn open evening in April where friends were invited was a great success. Alison brought along a load of
Body Shop products and gave us very enjoyable demonstrations of a facial and a make up. Body Shop products were on sale after the demonstrations and many went home with 'goody bags'! For photos

A Beetle Drive was held at CRBC on Thursday 26th May and was very much enjoyed by those who met up
and prizes were given to the one who had the most beetles completed and the most parts collected.

Saturday 25th June saw a group of us venturing to Rothley for a delicious fish and chip lunch followed by a walk into Bradgate Park from the Cropston Reservoir entrance.

Stoneywell Cottage
Stoneywell Cottage was our destination on Saturday 30 July when 12 of us made the trip. We had a very interesting guided tour, with a lovely guide, of the cottage and wandered around the gardens before enjoying a lunch in the tea rooms there. For more photos

August saw us going for another meal out,  7 of us having lunch at the Gallery in Sutton Bonnington before visiting St Annes Church for an enjoyable guided tour where we learnt a lot of the history of this lovely old church.

In September a group of us went to the St Johns Church Annual Fair in Normanton-on-Soar. The weather was not too good to start off with but soon dried up and we enjoyed the various stalls. Later we were entertained in the church by the choir while we indulged in tea and cakes.

A general knowledge quiz entertained a small group of ladies in October as they competed for prizes.
