Before Christmas quite a few met at Bradgate Park for their Christmas Art & Craft Fair. It was a really cold day but it was bright and sunny so we all really enjoyed the morning seeing the various craft and food stalls, purchasing items for Christmas and later joining up for lunch in the tea rooms there.
A Bring'n'Buy combined with a Bring'n'Share Supper was held on Saturday 10th January, hosted by one of the group. It was a very lively evening sharing food and conversation whilst also discussing the suggestions made at the first meeting.
The Craft Evening was held at CRBC on Thursday February 12th and was well attended. It was lead by Maureen Walbey, one of the group, and was well enjoyed as we endeavoured to make a couple of small items.
On Saturday March 14th a large group of ladies went to the Town Hall in Loughborough to see a very enjoyable performance of West Side Story put on by Christchurch.
Saturday 18th April saw several car loads travelling to Notcutts Garden Centre at Edwalton. It was a lovely sunny day as we browsed through the plants, gifts, clothes and books on offer. A tasty lunch with great fellowship followed.
A Flower Arranging Demonstration & Testimony took place on May 7th at CRBC.
This was an open meeting with members of the group inviting friends along.

A small group met up on July 29th for a Treasure Hunt around the centre of Leicester and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and exercise, as we hunted out the answers to the clues given. More...
Monday August 24 saw 12 of us meeting at Ulverscroft Grange for lunch and a browse round the Charity Shops. Unfortunately by the time we had finished eating the weather had turned wet so we weren't able to go for a walk in the grounds. We still had a great time over lunch and enjoyed each other's company.
Thursday 3 September saw us venturing into Nottingham to visit the Mustard Seed Christian Bookshop for tea, cake and a testimony from the owner of the shop. This proved to be very interesting and provoked many questions. Before leaving the group enjoyed a good browse around the shop making a range of purchases from the excellent stock on offer.
A group of 11 gathered on Thursday 8th October for a 'Pudding Tasting Evening' which was greatly enjoyed by all. There were about a dozen really nice puddings to taste and a competition to guess the pudding with the highest calories and also the one with the least and prizes were given for those who won.

Another craft evening took place in November at CRBC. 12 of us had a go at 'Beading' making earrings and bracelets for presents or indeed for ourselves. We had a great time after a demonstration of how to do a variety of things with a wonderful selection of beads.
December took us to an Italian Meal at St Joseph's for our Christmas Celebration. The food was authentic and tasted great. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and the evening concluded with a Secret Santa
where everyone exchanges gifts anonymously.
