The Passion

The folk in Shepshed will all have seen by now that the work, taking place at 8 The Bullring in the town centre, has been completed. The official opening took place on Saturday 13th June.

This is firstly a note to thank all of you so much for your welcome to Shepshed, your support of PASSION and your prayers.

There will be so many opportunities for people to practically support this project, from face to face work with young people both in the building and out on the streets to cleaning, painting, fundraising, administration and prayer. PASSION has been a long term vision for so many of us, and now is our opportunity to be at the start of the realization of this vision.

As we move into this next exciting stage of God's plan all of this needs to continue.. and to help direct your support and prayers we are still fund raising, but most importantly looking for people who can give their time to building relationships with these young people.

Please contact Mads Morgan on 07795 805196 or mads.morgan'googlemail.com if you want anymore information about PASSION, have ideas or feel you may be able to give time to the young people of Shepshed.

'The Passion' opens for the young people of Shepshed

 Opening the Passion

There were plenty of folk around on Saturday June 2009 when 'The Passion', a new venue for young people of Shepshed, opened its doors.

Bishop of Leicester opening the Passion

The place was overflowing when the Bishop of Leicester spoke to all there. The  Bishop, at the request of the young people, then took up a cue to start a game of snooker to mark the official opening and young and old had a good look round before The Passion opened it's doors to the youth of Shepshed on Friday 19th June.

The scouts organised the barbecue

The celebrations carried on with a barbecue at the side of Charnwood Road Baptist Church which was organised by the Scouts who meet at CRBC each week.

 Queueing for burgers

Since the opening there have been lots of young folk meeting at the Passion which is open each Friday Saturday and Sunday.
