Hello Again and Good News
John came home from hospital on Wednesday afternoon, but has to stay at home. He will go for another X-ray on Friday. If that is alright then he will be formally discharged
1. We have been quite busy recently with some of the new missionaries whose laguage study we are overseeing. Please pray for them and their progress. There are currently four Korean couples at various stages of language study.
2. Also we had Madi staying with us for a week. Madi is from Australia, 21 years old and our newest worker. Last week she moved to Kyoto to begin language study. Please pray for her too.
3. Edi is starting a weekly English lesson with th ehigh school son of one of our neighbours. He has been finding English difficult and Edi was asked to help.
4. Lastly, things turned upside down a bit today (Thursday 14th) when John was admitted into hospital with pneumonia. He is expected to be in for about 3 days. Please pray for a quick recovery.
Thank you for praying.

September 2010
Hello again.
Thank you for your prayers.
1. Mr. Maeda was working from April to July and was unable to meet with Pete but now they met twice again over the summer. However he now has another temporary job, which will mean meeting with him on an occasional basis. Please pray for him to be clearly saved and to grow in the Lord, also for him to be able to find a permanent job.
2. Please pray for the regular teaching in the Sunday services. Until the end of the year we are looking at various kinds of relationships as they are taught in the Bible.
3. Kaori Church has one of our regular meetings for anyone to talk about things in the church on 26th September. Please pray for God's leading on our discussions.
4. Madi, a new worker from Australia, arrives soon. She is the first new missionary to come into Japan on a language student visa rather than the usual religious activities visa. Her arrival means we now have nine workers whose language study we are overseeing.
5. Please remember the children, back at school after the summer holiday. Andy and John are practising for their sports day on 25th September.
Thank you for praying.
In the Lord,
Peter, Edi, Joanna, Andy and John Wilson
August 2010
Hello again, from a typically hot summer's day in Japan.
1. Thank you for praying for the camps in July. The one-day camp Pete was leading went off on 19th July with good weather and with people having fun on various games. There was a game from each country represented among the missionaries present. The game from Germany, knocking over cans with corks fired from a modified bicycle pump, was especially popular.
2. Edi worked in the kitchen at the childrens' camp (27th - 29th July) and successfully fed everyone. Including Joanna and Andy, all six children from Kaori Church appeared to have a good time at camp. Pray that the teaching they received will have a lasting effect.
3. Edi is going to be in the kitchen again for International Family Camp (7th - 8th August) and giving a short message. Please pray for her as she gets ready for this.
4. Pete is going to preach at Kusatsu Church on 15th August, when Seongjae Yu (Korean missionary who used to work with us) will preach in Kaori.
5. Please remember Joanna, Andy and John on holiday. Joanna has a lot of work for her English course from the U.K.
Thank you for praying.

July 2010
Hello again. We didn't send out one of these e-mails last month, so that's why you didn't receive one, if you're wondering.
1. Please pray for Pete leading International Fureai Camp on 19th July, for safety, good weather and for God's blessing on the programme. This is a one-day "camp" that takes place at our campsite every year. The 19th July is a public holiday (called Marine Day, by the way).
2. Please pray for good fellowship at our church barbecue by the lakeside after church on 25th July.
3. Edi is going to be in charge of the kitchen for the children's camp 27th to 29th July, also at the camp site. She has worked in the kitchen before, but never been leader of the team. Andy will go as a camper, and Joanna as a helper.
4. Please remember the children in their summer holidays. Joanna finished school earlier in July and then went to the school camp for three days. Andy and John have their last day of term on 20th July.
Thank you for praying for us.
Peter, Edi, Joanna, Andy & John Wilson
May 2010
Hello again.
This is what is happening with us this month.
1. Pete is leading a discussion at our group's pastors' meeting on 11th May about the vows believers make when they are baptised. Please pray for him and for this, that it will be useful for all the pastors.
2. Pete is going to preach at Rakusai New Town Church in Kyoto on 16th May.
3. We have a Waku Waku Kai, our outreach meeting for ladies, on Tues. 25th May. Lillian (Korean missionary on language study, and attending our church) will be our speaker. Please pray for many women to come.
4. Madi is a nineteen year-old new worker from Australia. She is applying for a language school visa, rather than a missionary visa. This is the first time we have taken this option for a new missionary. Pete is liaising with the language school. Please pray for the application to go smoothly.
5. The children have all settled well back into school in their new years, which began in April. John's class of 17 has merged with the other class in his year to make one big class of 34, but he has the same teacher as last year. Joanna has begun a U.K.-based course in English language (IGCSE) on the internet in addition to her studies at KIU. Please pray for her and Edi as they get used to this.
Thank you for praying for us.

April 2010
Hello again. Thank you for your prayers.
1. Recently we have been trying to contact church folk beforehand to try and get them more involved in the church services. We had a lovely Easter Sunday service with a variety of people taking part in readings, and also praying for the children in another service. Please pray that we would all grow in our love for God and for each other as a group.
2. On Good Friday (2nd April) in the evening we showed part of the film "Jesus of Nazareth". Praise for the people who came along, in particular for two non-Christian men.
3. Edi will begin teaching English at a different primary school in our town from April. Please pray for her as she gets used to a new place and for the Lord's help as she teaches.
4. Our annual "Easter Picnic" is after church on Sun. 25th April. Please pray for good weather and for good fellowship with the non-Christians (also pray for non-Christians to come).
5. Please remember Pete, preaching twice a month, leading the monthly seekers Bible study and doing a one-to-one study with Mr. Maeda each week.
6. Joanna, Andy and John will all be moving up a year at school with the school year starting in April. Please pray for them as they adjust to new teachers and classes. Andy will be in the final year of primary school. Last year John's year had two classes of 17 children, but this year they are merging into one class of 34.
Thank you for praying.

March 2010
Hello again.
Thank you for continuing to think of us.
1. This month will be a very busy month, with the missionaries annual conference (22nd - 26th March) and the pastors and missionaries annual 'retreat' (31st March - 2nd April), in addition to our normal regular activities. Please pray with us for God's strength and guidance in all we do.
2. Pete is going to preach in one of our group's other churches in Kusatsu on 14th March, and the missionary pastor from there will come to Kaori.
3. Thank you for praying for the Waku Waku Kai in February. Four non-Christian ladies attended. Please pray for a good ongoing connection with them and for their salvation. One of them, Mrs. Teramori, has been a seeker with us for over ten years.
4. Every year (this year on 28th March) we have a time of praying specially for the children in the church during the service. Please pray for all our church children as they move up a year at school, starting from April. Two (Arisa Nagahara and Naruko Iwata) will be going to new schools.
5. Edi has responsibilities in the school PTA and our local area children's group this year. Please pray for her in these.
6. Please pray for the Easter programme. We have a tradition (from three years ago!) to show a film on Good Friday evening. This year it will be "Jesus of Nazareth", which lasts six hours so we don't think we'll show all of it! Then we have the Easter service on 4th April.
Thank you for your prayers.
Peter, Edi, Joanna, Andy and John Wilson
